My journey

Playtime

For as long as I can remember I have imagined monsters, magical landscapes and strange people who wield swords and sorcery.

Me and my friends played outside, collaborating on narratives that learned (and copied!) from the literary and cinematic greats of Tolkien and Lucas, we had fun playing out scenes of triumph, loss and endless epic battles!

Our narratives played out mostly in the woods after school or throughout an entire weekend, even months! If the weather didn't allow us to stay outside, we took the adventure with us inside, enacting it either through LEGO and drawing comics and scenes from what we would play or what we had already played out.

Imagination

The theatre of the mind is a powerful thing, me and my two best friends shared many years of playtimes like these. With overarching plotlines across months of play, very much like episodes and entire seasons.

Our imaginations were running in high gear, and for a long time - we just couldn't stop, mostly because it was fun of course, perhaps also for the fact that we simply had stories to tell. These stories might be embarrassing to look back upon or even be blatant copies of narratives we had either seen or read before, but I believe we made them ours. With original characters in worlds of our design.

Everlasting

These times will forever be cherised, as they are everlasting in my mind. I can still recall scenes of joy, of despair and triumph! While playing in the schoolyard or woods near our homes. For any passerby, they simply saw three kids playing with sticks in the woods. But for us, it was an epic finale, to a month-long narrative of our creation. The heroes won in the end, and I can still taste that victory, and imagine back to what it felt like.

This passion never stopped. As evident by my now 3 years of creating a fantasy realm of sword and sorcery, not that different from the ones our adventures once took place. I'm beyond excited to finally share this with the world.

If you are a fan of tabletop roleplaying games, this is for you. If you too, played with magical swords in the woods, this is for you. If you too long for those special days shared with friends, I welcome you to the Kingdom of Eldwin, a realm that's ready to bring your next epic adventure to life.

Until then!
