The People of Midhaven

Eldwinian Farmer

In the mystical realm of Midhaven, you will encounter a diverse array of beings. Humans and Morntide elves have made their homes in the grand cities and vast fields, assuming roles such as knights, farmers, shopkeepers, and many other professions.

The Lynari are inexplicably drawn to the towering mountain ridges of the region, where they settle close to the sky, anticipating the arrival of rain and storms.

Housed within the hallowed halls of the academy and magical institutions are the enigmatic Illumni - the waxen knights.

Deep within the forest resides the largest group of Lichenlings, predominantly the Dried variant, although all variations have been spotted in this village!

The Embersong Himmelkin have taken root amidst the sunny landscapes, with their villages adorned by sunflowers scattered along the shoreline.

Magic infuses every nook and cranny of the land, ensuring that you will inevitably encounter a living Effigy, typically found in Brightflare and the larger settlements of the region.

Brightflare

The largest capital of Midhaven is Brightflare, an ever-bustling city where everything can be found and everyone is welcome.

A city of commerce that is the hub responsible for shipping out wares to other lands. The castle of Prince Rosalés, of House Rosalés, is also located here.

Important Sights

Other significant locations include Magnolia Ranch, the vast farmland of crops and acres; the Elderberry Archives, a repository of magical knowledge and the place to visit for any fledgling spellcaster; the Brume Tower, a remnant of a time before the age of Wonder, open only to the highest ranking of wizards!

Twinleaf Bridgetown, connecting Midhaven to Bloomheim, symbolizing the strong bonds between the two lands, and Honeywort, the largest village, proudly known for its magical honey!

Life In Midhaven

Midhaven is an area of great interest to archaeologists and explorers, as many ruins, tombs, and crypts from a time long ago remain. Some speculate that the truth behind the Everlasting Summer lies within Midhaven, and seek to uncover its secrets.

Editor’s Note: How Did I Create This Map?

I create the maps using the online tool Inkarnate. I'm not affiliated with or sponsored by Inkarnate, so everything I say is my honest opinion of the tool.

I found it to be the best for creating both regional and world maps and battle maps, with the additional help of Photoshop and Figma to make them look older and worn. I prepared the file for printing and made sure the squares were correct according to my minis.

If you want to find inspiration for existing battle maps or try your hand at creating your very own maps, I highly recommend Inkarnate!
