Free Magic Items!

Here is a summary of the first few magic items I’ve shared on my socials. All of these are free! 7 out of the 798 items I’ve created for my Compendium. If you want to get these as they are published, I’d recommend following me on my Instagram!

I’ll probably make these round-ups a bonus post every month. This usually means I’ll share 7-8 free magic items, as I share 2 weekly on my Instagram. Now! Onto the main event:

Hat of Moss

Wondrous Item, Common

This large hat is made of soft, green moss. It's stylish above all else. However, if you get caught in the rain, the hat will shrink to the size of a mushroom cap and will not return to its original size until it has dried completely.

Also, the hat will occasionally sprout small mushrooms, which can be harvested and used as ingredients in cooking.

Ring of Advanced Looting

Ring, Common (Requires attunement)

This simple gold band has a small engraved four-leaf clover on its surface.

When worn, the ring seems to attract good luck to the wearer, increasing the chances of finding small items or money.

Once per day, the wearer can use the ring to re-roll a skill check related to finding loot or treasure.

Azure Gem of Ki

Wondrous item, Uncommon
(requires attunement by a Monk)

A small, azure-blue gemstone that glows with a soft, soothing light. It is said to contain the essence of the sky and sea. It is apparently one of three gems once worn by a powerful monk from a different time.

The Azure Gem of Ki grants the wearer an additional Ki point and a +1 bonus to their initiative.

When worn together with the Crimson and Viridian Gems of Ki, the wearer can use a bonus action to channel the power of all three gems, granting them the ability to recover 3 expended Ki points instantly, but this ability can only be used once per short rest.

Viridian Gem of Ki

Wondrous item, Uncommon
(requires attunement by a Monk)

A small, viridian-green gemstone that glows with a serene, gentle light. It is said to contain the essence of nature and life. It is apparently one of three gems once worn by a powerful monk from a different time.

The Viridian Gem of Ki grants the wearer an additional Ki point and a +1 bonus to their armor class.

When worn together with the Azure and Crimson Gems of Ki, the wearer can use a bonus action to channel the power of all three gems, granting them the ability to
recover 3 expended Ki points instantly,
but this ability can only be used once per short rest.

Crimson Gem of Ki

Wondrous item, Uncommon
(requires attunement by a Monk)

A small, crimson-red gemstone that glows with a fierce, burning light. It is said to contain the essence of earth and flame. It is apparently one of three gems once worn by a powerful monk from a different time.

The Crimson Gem of Ki grants the wearer an additional Ki point and a +1 bonus to attack rolls.

When worn together with the Azure and Viridian Gems of Ki, the wearer can use a bonus action to channel the power of all three gems, granting them the ability to instantly recover 3 expended Ki points. Still, this ability can only be used once per short rest.

Ring of Mischief

Wondrous item, Uncommon

A silver band with a gemstone that seems to laugh when light strikes it. Once per long rest, you can twist the ring and summon the spirit of a mischievous sprite. Roll a d10:

1: The sprite ties your shoelaces or equivalent together. You must use an action to untie them.


2-3: The sprite becomes visible and distracts a creature you can see within 30 feet, giving it disadvantage on its next attack roll or ability check.


4-5: You gain the ability to levitate up to 10 feet off the ground for 10 minutes.


6-7: The sprite sprinkles you with glittering dust. You gain advantage on Charisma (Performance) checks for 1 hour.


8-9: The sprite whispers a secret or rumor to you.


10: The sprite conjures an illusion of a treasure chest filled with gold in a location of your choice within 60 feet. The illusion lasts for 1 minute.


"While the sprite's pranks are mostly harmless, its whims can sometimes be a boon to its wearer."

Bag of Hand Holding

Wondrous Item, Uncommon

This small bag is enchanted with the spell Mage Hand. When you reach into the bag, a spectral hand emerges, shaking your hand as if to say hello, this spectral hand will allow you to manipulate objects at a distance.

You must reach into your bag and handshake before you summon the Mage Hand.

“Greet the other side with common courtesy.”
